In late March Indianapolis sanctioned that the First Church of Cannabis is in fact a real church.  But now they have something even more impressive: tax exemption.  This means it has all the same rights as the churches with religions thousands of years old. 

Even though marijuana is illegal in Indiana, this hemp temple is getting around this law by operating under the state's newly-approved Religious Freedom Restoration Act. This act secures that interests in religious freedom are protected.

The church's first meeting will be held non-coincidentally on the same day that the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act takes effect, July 1, 2015.  The basis of the religion is “to start a church based on love and understanding with compassion for all.”...

What's not to like about Austrailia; the people enjoy a good shrimp and chook on the barbie, they have kangaroos, and now they will also have a few ton of Marijuana.

Earlier this week AusCann Group Holdings is exploiting a legal loophole that may allow it to grow and export up to ten tonnes of cannabis on a small island off the coast of Australia.

Although Marijuana is illegal in Austrailia, the island where it will be grown, named Norfolk, is a self-governing administration and can grant a license to cultivate and export Marijuana legally. All AusCann needs now is the final approval of the administrator of the island, Gary Hardgrave. Aus Cann chairman says he is optimistic that such sanction will be forthcoming. ...
