Indica seeds grow short, bushy plants that flower faster than sativa, which is why many indoor and first-time growers start with them. We carry a wide range, from compact autoflowers to classic photoperiod favorites. Each product page lists THC level, flowering time and difficulty. Pure indica and indica-dominant seeds are both covered below, along with indoor and outdoor growing tips.

Indica seeds grow into short, bushy plants known for a heavy, relaxing body effect — the calm, sedating counterpart to sativa's energizing high. Whether you're looking for indica seeds, indica marijuana seeds, indica weed seeds, or cannabis indica seeds, they all point to the same genetics: broad, dark-green leaves, dense buds, and an effect built for winding down rather than staying active.

Relaxing, Full-Body Effects

Indica strains are associated with deep physical relaxation, calm, and relief, making them a common choice for evening use, unwinding after a long day, or managing discomfort — a different experience from the alert, cerebral high sativa is known for, and one of the clearest ways to choose between the two.

Bushier Plants, Shorter Flowering Time

Indica genetics grow short and bushy rather than tall and lanky, with a shorter flowering time (typically 7-9 weeks) than most sativa strains, packing more bud onto a more compact frame. That combination of speed and size makes indica seeds a practical fit for growers with limited height, whether that's a small tent or a low-ceilinged space.

Pure Indica vs. Indica-Dominant Hybrids

Very few strains today are 100% pure indica — most cannabis genetics, including much of what's labeled indica, carries some sativa or hybrid lineage. What matters in practice is the lean: our indica seeds are selected and bred toward indica's characteristic growth pattern and relaxing effect, even where the strain's full history includes some hybrid genetics, so you can shop by the effect and grow style you actually want.

What is an indica cannabis plant?

Indica cannabis comes from the mountain regions of Central Asia, around the Hindu Kush, where seasons are short and cold arrives early. The plants adapted by growing short and wide, with broad leaves, dense foliage and a quick flowering period. A typical indica reaches a manageable height and puts most of its energy into thick, heavy flowers.

For growers this means two practical benefits. The plants fit under a normal ceiling without much training, and they finish earlier than most sativas.

Indica seeds for sale

Most strains in this category are listed with the seed type Indica, and a few are indica-leaning hybrids. Plants are mostly average-sized, with some compact options. THC is an "up to" figure that runs from 15 to the mid 20s, and 20 percent is the most common listing. Most are rated easy or easy to moderate.

Nearly all are listed with a fast flowering time of 6 to 10 weeks. For a start, look at White Widow feminized, rated easy to moderate with up to 25 percent THC, or Afghan feminized, an easy indica with up to 20 percent.

What are pure indica seeds?

Pure indica means a strain that is bred from indica lines only. Many classic indicas trace back to Afghan and Hindu Kush landraces, the wild local varieties of those mountains. In practice, most seed sellers call a strain indica when its growth and flowering match, and few can document a 100 percent line.

On our product pages, look for the seed type Indica and read the description for the parent strains. A listing that says Hybrid is a cross between indica and sativa lines.

Pure indica feminized seeds

Pure indica feminized seeds give you the compact plant of an indica without having to look for males. Browse the feminized seeds category and pick strains whose seed type is Indica. Many of our indica strains are available this way, and some come as autoflowers.

Are indica seeds good for beginners?

Yes, usually. Indica plants stay shorter, flower faster and tolerate small mistakes. A good number of our indica strains are rated easy, so they fit in a tent without much training. Our beginner seeds collection lists easy strains, many of them indicas.

Indica or indica-dominant hybrid?

A hybrid mixes indica and sativa lines, and a strain labeled indica-dominant leans toward indica growth. If you want shorter plants with a little more variety in flavor, browse our hybrid seeds. If you want taller plants and a longer flowering period, look at sativa seeds.

Which are the best indica seeds for your grow?

Start with your space, your climate and your experience. For a small tent, choose a compact or average strain with a fast flowering time. For an outdoor plot in a cool region, choose a fast finisher. For a first grow, choose a strain rated easy.

The marijuana seeds table helps you compare strains, and the filters on this page narrow the list by difficulty and plant size. Any strain rated easy is a safe start.

Do indica plants yield more?

Indica flowers are dense and heavy, and the short cycle means you can run more rounds in a year. How much one plant gives depends on the strain, the light and the size of the pot, not on the type alone. The yield field on a product page gives the breeder's figure for the strain.

Growing indica indoors

Indicas are a natural choice for tents and small rooms. The compact build means less time on height control, and faster flowering shortens each cycle. The dense buds do carry one risk: air that moves poorly and humidity that stays high encourage bud rot, a gray mold that spreads inside a bud.

Keep a fan running, space the plants so air can reach them, and watch the humidity during the last weeks.

Many growers aim for roughly 40 to 50 percent relative humidity late in flower. Pruning lower branches that never get light also helps. A little training, such as topping once, gives a wider plant with more flowers at the same height.

Growing indica outdoors

Because indicas flower early, they suit places with cool nights or a short season. In the northern hemisphere many finish before the worst of the autumn weather. They also stay low in a small garden, since they do not tower over everything else.

Indica effects in plain terms

People often describe indica strains as heavier and more relaxing than sativa strains. That is a general pattern, not a rule, and every strain differs. Use the strain descriptions and the listed effects and flavors on each product page as a guide, and keep in mind that experience varies from person to person.

Frequently asked questions

Are indica seeds good for beginners?

Usually, yes. Indica plants stay shorter, flower faster and tolerate small mistakes, and many of our indica strains are rated easy. They fit in a tent without much training. Check the difficulty and plant size on each product page, and start with a strain rated easy.

How long do indica plants take to flower?

Nearly all of our indica strains are listed at 6 to 10 weeks of flowering, with a few at 8 to 12 weeks. This does not include the vegetative stage, which usually takes 4 to 8 weeks for photoperiod plants. Autoflower indicas run on their own clock and finish sooner overall.

What is the difference between indica, sativa and hybrid seeds?

Indica plants are shorter and bushier with broad leaves and a shorter flowering time. Sativa plants are taller and thinner with a longer flowering time. Hybrids combine traits of both, so a hybrid can lean either way. The seed type is shown on each product page.

How do I prevent bud rot on indica plants?

Dense indica flowers hold moisture, so good airflow and lower humidity in late flowering are the best protection. Aim for roughly 40 to 50 percent relative humidity in the last weeks, space the plants apart, and remove lower growth that stays damp. Check the inside of large buds before harvest.

What is a Kush strain?

Kush strains descend from indica landraces of the Hindu Kush mountain range in Central Asia. They are known for short, bushy plants and dense flowers. When a strain name includes Kush, the seed type on its product page tells you whether it is a pure indica or a hybrid.
