Cannabis Seeds for Greenhouse Growing

A greenhouse sits between a tent and an open garden. You get free sunlight, and you keep the rain, wind and the worst of the cold off your plants. The seeds on this page are the strains whose descriptions mention growing under glass or in a greenhouse. They range from the compact Ganja Dwarf autoflower to the tall Bob Marley sativa, so there is something for a small lean-to as well as a full-size greenhouse. Each product page lists the plant size, flowering time and THC level. Every order is packed by hand in Amsterdam and shipped discreetly.

Why grow in a greenhouse

A greenhouse makes the season longer at both ends. You can plant out earlier in spring, and in autumn the plants are sheltered from rain while the buds ripen. That matters most in northern and central Europe, where the last weeks of flowering often fall in a wet month. You still use the sun, so you save on lighting, and the plants follow the natural day length.

Match the plant to the space

Height is the first thing to check. A strain that reaches two metres outdoors will fill a small greenhouse fast. In a low or narrow greenhouse, pick a short plant such as Ganja Dwarf or Easy Rider, or train a taller one by bending it sideways. In a tall greenhouse, a big plant like Mega Jackpot or Bob Marley has room to grow. Leave space between plants so air can move, because a full greenhouse holds a lot of moisture.

Heat, damp and pests

On a sunny day a closed greenhouse can get hot very quickly. Open the doors and vents in the morning and close them in the evening, or fit an automatic vent opener. In late summer, damp nights bring the risk of mold, so keep the air moving and avoid watering in the evening. A greenhouse also shelters pests. Check under the leaves every week for spider mites and whitefly, and deal with them early. Our article on pest control in a greenhouse goes into more detail.

Picking a strain from the list

If you are new to greenhouse growing, Easy Rider and Ganja Dwarf stay short and keep things simple. Blueberry 420 is a popular choice for flavour. White Widow Supreme and Mega Jackpot suit growers who want a strong strain and have room for it. Bob Marley and California Dream are tall sativa-leaning plants for a high greenhouse. If seeds do not germinate, our germination guarantee gives you free replacements within 90 days.
