Supernova Feminized Seeds

About Supernova feminized seeds

Supernova feminized seeds grow into an indica-dominant hybrid, 70% indica and 30% sativa. Bob Marley used to say: "When you smoke weed, it makes you reveal yourself." Supernova is a strain for that mood. THC is rated very high, up to 25%, so it is a strain for experienced smokers or for anyone who is happy to start with very small amounts. The seeds are feminized.

What are the effects of Supernova?

The effects are body-stoned, relaxed and uplifting. You will feel an intense body high, accompanied by a clear mental push that tends to make people reflect on life in general. The body effect is the main event, and the uplifting part keeps it from feeling flat. If you like indicas, this one is a strong example. Because of the very high THC level, take your time between sessions and see how it develops before you take more.

Taste and aroma

The buds are sweet and earthy and give off an aroma like cotton candy. Beyond the cotton-candy sweetness, expect citrus and earthy undertones with a faint skunky edge and a fruity finish, a more complex flavor profile than the name lets on.

Strain characteristics

The leaves are bright green and the buds are minty green with orange hairs, covered in a thick coat of resin. As with most indicas, Supernova does not usually reach much height. Plant size is average. Difficulty is moderate, so it will not cause major headaches if you already know the basics, and it grows well across continental, Mediterranean and temperate climates.

Growing Supernova indoors

Indoors the plant stays at up to 70 cm (27.6 in), which is short. It suits low ceilings, small tents and grows where height is limited. A compact plant under a good lamp can use that space fully, so spread the branches with light training to give every site an equal share of light. Indoor yield is average, at up to 350 grams (12.3 oz) per square meter (11 ft2).

Growing outdoors

Outdoors the plant reaches about 125 cm (4 ft), and the yield rises to around 500 grams (17.5 oz) per square meter. It is a good match for gardens and balconies in continental, Mediterranean or temperate regions. Choose a spot with full sun and shelter from heavy wind. Indica buds can hold moisture, so avoid wetting the flowers late in the season and keep air moving around the plant.

Flowering time and harvest

Flowering is fast, 6 to 10 weeks, and about 9 weeks is a typical finish. Watch the trichomes closely. When most are cloudy and a few have turned amber, the plant is ready. If you wait longer, the effect becomes heavier.

Who is this strain for?

Supernova suits growers who want a compact plant with a very high THC rating and are comfortable with moderate difficulty. It also suits experienced smokers who prefer a strong indica with a sweet, fruity and earthy flavor.
