Terpenes are chemicals that are made and stored in the trichomes of the marijuana plant. They give weed its smell. Terpenes play an important role in the overall flavor and aroma of a weed plant and it is said that they have therapeutic effects.


THC a.k.a tetrahydrocannabinol is the cannabinoid that is responsible for the ‘high’. THC causes psychoactive effects.


A strain is a specific variety of plant species. Strains are developed by cultivators to produce specific effects. A name of a strain often reflects the strain’s appearance, the breeder, its effects, or its origin.


Anandamide is an endocannabinoid that is naturally produced by the human body. Anandamides are feel-good chemicals, produced in the brain (just like dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins).


Solvents are chemical compounds (like alcohol or butane) that strip (separate) terpenes and cannabinoids from cannabis plants.


An extract made from cannabis that is soft, sticky, and waxy in texture. Wax concentrates are - as the term suggests - highly concentrated, so keep that in mind when you consume them.
